Dr. Layne Godzina majored in biomedical sciences with a focus on neurology at Western Michigan University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy. Dr. Godzina is an accomplished dentist that has been practicing dentistry for nearly 20 years. He established Honest Dental Solutions in January of 2019, when he acquired the practice of Dr. Robert Mattice. One of the founding principles of Honest Dental Solutions is that just because a person breaks a tooth doesn’t mean they automatically need a crown. Honest Dental Solutions end goal is to provide a pleasant, pain-free dental experience at the best possible value. Dr. Godzina is a native Michigander and has made the Manistee area his home. He volunteers his time at the local Senior Community Center, along with serving on multiple boards. Dr Godzina and his wife have four young children and are very active in the Manistee community.
After practicing dentistry for nearly 20 years, I have learned a lot. I have completed extensive studies on several oral health specialties while still maintaining my general dentistry title. This gives me the ability to perform procedures that are typically referred to a specialist. In a small town like Manistee, that usually not only saves patients lots of money, but also a significant amount of time.
